UQFC has a long and proud history of playing senior football at all levels and has grown to be the largest club in Queensland. All abilities are catered for across our teams:
Once offered a position by the club, players must then enrol and pay Club Fees with UQFC and as mandated by Football Qld from Season 2024, register and pay Governing Body Fees through squadi.
Senior training and home games take place at the University of Queensland St Lucia campus on Field 3, Field 5 and Field 9. Up to date information on training and games, and wet-weather scheduling can be found on the UQFC Facebook page.
UQFC is licenced to play in the Football Queensland Premier League and Under 23 Competitions administered by Football Queensland, and fields teams in both the men's (FQPL3) and women's (FQPL2) competitions.
All home games are played on field 3, UQ St Lucia campus. Games can be played on either Friday evening, Saturday or Sunday depending on Football Queensland scheduling, following a home and away format.
FQPL squads are trained by fully qualified and experienced coaches and both the Men's and Women's FQPL/U23's squads train on Tues and Thurs nights
UQFC announces trial dates for FQPL & Under 23 levels for the following season in around November of the previous year and once again in January to ensure relocating students are not disadvantaged.
If you are interested in our FQPL squads and wish to ask a question or to register on the EOI, please contact the UQFC Men's Coordinator or the Women's Coordinator.
The Metro League is an open age/senior competition administered by Football Queensland. This competition offers competitive football at a range of levels, and the opportunity to improve and develop.
UQFC competes in both men's and women's Metro League competitions, and are consistently top performers.
UQFC consistently fields not less than 10 Metro teams evenly across the Men's & Women's Divisions 1-6.
Home games are played at the UQ St Lucia campus. Games can be played on either Friday evening, Saturday or Sunday depending on Football Queensland scheduling, following a home and away format.
Training for men's and women's Metro League squads are held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night between 6:00pm and 9:00pm - each session comprising 90 minutes.
Trials for Metro League start in January. Each team has an appropriately qualified coach to conduct training sessions and manage game-day administration.
U16/17 Girls and U17/18 Metro Divisional Boys teams are also fielded across a number of divisions and provide a measured pathway from the junior competitions to senior football at UQFC.
If you are interested in Metro League football, would like to ask a question, or would like to register please contact the Men's Coordinator or the Women's Coordinator.
