WWC / Blue Cards - Who needs one & How to apply 2026

WHO NEEDS A WWC or BLUE CARD?

The QLD Government has a strict "NO CARD, NO START" policy meaning coaches, volunteers, club referees over the age of 18 and paid employees must have a valid blue card before engaging in activities with children.

Football Queensland also mandates that any of the following, who are over the age of 18 and are volunteers, including coaches, managers, sports trainers and any other volunteer directly associated with a team, must hold a valid blue card. This includes a parent coaching their own child's team.

The card is then linked to the Club's Qld Government Blue Card Services Organisational Portal.
