What is Development Football?

UQFC offers a program for our U9, U10 and U11 age groups for more advanced players who part take in our Development teams.

The Development teams compete in the highest level MiniRoos competition (Komodo Dragons) run by Football Brisbane (FB)

When do we play and train?

Games are played on Saturdays with home and away ground format. Training is held midweek evenings

How are players and teams selected?

The Director of Football, Club selectors and coaches observe players during games and training, with players invited to trial for Development teams

What kit do I need?

All players must wear football boots (plastic tags) and shin guards. The Club will provide team shirts which are returned at the end of the season. A training kit and playing shorts are provided upon registration

Who coaches Development Football?

Development teams have parent coaches with UQFC developing these coaches through grass roots coaching courses early in the year or financially supporting attendance at coaching courses run by Football Queensland (FQ)
