What is SYL Football?

Super Youth League (SYL) Football is an elite age group competition administered by Football Brisbane (FB) for age levels U12 to U16 (formerly Brisbane Premier League).

UQFC is one of only 12 Club’s in Brisbane to have been awarded SYL status currently.

When do we play and train?

SYL Football can be played on either Friday evening, Saturdays or Sundays depending on the age group and FB scheduling, with a home and away ground format. Training is held twice a week on midweek evenings.

How are players and teams selected?

UQFC will announce trial dates for SYL traditionally in October/November for the various age groups together with Divisional 1 trials, with an experienced coaching staff selecting squads for the subsequent season.

What kit do I need?

All players must wear football boots (plastic tags) and shin guards. The Club will provide team shirts which are returned at the end of the season. A training kit and playing shorts are provided upon registration

Who coaches SYL Football?

SYL teams have dedicated professional coaches with a minimum FFA C Youth Licence accreditation
